Little for Now is changing hands – and One Lucky Mama is gearing up to be even better than ever. While Little for Now stocked mostly items for babies, One Lucky Mama will offer products for the whole family. One Lucky Mama will offer a wide variety of family friendly items from maternity and baby items to eco-friendly ways to save money and resources around your home, toys for toddlers, and books, clothes and more.

Of course, we’ll still offer the same great cloth diaper brands you want, along with plenty of cloth diaper accessories. Along with all those diapers and baby carriers, nursing supplies and natural baby toys – many other items are joining our lineup. That means we need more space. Soon we’ll be announcing our new location where you can see even more baby, mama and family products in person.

Yes, we’ll have a baby registry that can be accessed by local and long-distance friends and relatives. Yes, we’ll still offer the same help in picking out the best products for your family – there will just be a whole lot more of them!

Utah residents and visitors can pick up cloth diapers any time between 10 AM and 6 PM on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. You can place your order online (use the code LOCAL to remove shipping charges) and then call for an appointment to pick up your order. Or, call to set up a time to come in and we can show you some of the great cloth diapers available. You do need an appointment, but we are very flexible on times.

Bamboo diapers can be made with natural fibers inside or with microfiber inserts for easy drying. BumGenius bamboo fitted diapers contain a microfiber soaker to allow for fast drying. Little for Now bamboo diapers are available as fitted sized diapers with a microfiber insert or as a one-size fitted diaper with a natural fiber soaker.

We love bamboo diapers because they work so well and because they are so gentle on baby’s skin. We use bamboo velour cloth wipes at every diaper change and reach for the bamboo fitted diapers first when the diaper wash is done. Little for Now bamboo fitted diapers come in cute prints and lovely hand-dyed colors as well as natural, unbleached bamboo velour color. We always use undyed, natural fabric on the inside so the only thing touching baby’s skin is natural fabric.

FuzziBunz Pocket Diaper Detergent by VASKA is another step forward in ecologically friendly diapering. Fragrance-free and with no phosphates or other chemicals that are damaging to the environment, FuzziBunz new cloth diaper detergent is also economical at just 16 cents per diaper wash load. Sold in 48 ounce bottles, each bottle is good for 96 washes.

Cloth diapers are already the better choice when you look at carbon footprints and disposal issues. Here in the desert we need to be even more concerned about waste management and water quality than those in more humid climates can afford to be. Everything takes longer to decompose in an arid environment and we certainly need to continually look for ways to protect our water resources.

The big news here is that FuzziBunz detergent is residue free. Most natural detergents are not suitable for cloth diapers because they leave behind an oily residue. Each one size diaper has a slightly different fit, so I recommend trying a One Size Cloth Diaper package to see which one will work best for your family before you invest in a whole stash.

You’ll save even more money with one size cloth diapers if you have two or more babies in cloth diapers. While there are pros and cons to one size cloth diapers, they are the most popular option in cloth diapering today.

How well do one size pocket diapers work? I recently tested a Wahmies One Size diaper for overnight on a heavy-wetting two year old. I stuffed the diaper with one microfiber insert and one medium size Little for Now hemp prefold. She wore the diaper for 12 hours and woke up with dry sheets, although the inserts were saturated.

Some of the most popular one size cloth diapers are BumGenius, Wahmies One Size, and Happy Heiny’s One Size. Wahmies One Size diapers come in both a unique hook fastening diaper and an all snap version. Happy Heiny’s One Size diapers come in a hook and loop (like Velcro) style and a new all snap version.
